A wonderfully delicate bone china cup and saucer set from OMC, Japan. Not quite a miniature, but very petite. On the front of the cup is a beautifully painted Basset Hound in full splendor. Basset Hound, a well-equipped hound able to follow game over difficult terrain with ease, and great endurance. Their long ears were developed to stir up and hold the scent for their powerful nose to follow. The wrinkles under their chin and around their face also help trap scents and hold them. Their large feet keep them well-balanced and their heavy bones keep them sturdy. He is low-slung, loose-skinned and carries his tail gaily! It is extreme in its devotion, a good family dog, loving and even-tempered. They are very sweet, loyal and affectionate, loving everyone in the family equally.
